Anyone who truly wants a stable, efficient, and safe system in the long run should familiarize themselves with and apply one of the most important diagnostic methods: <strong>I-V curve measurement<\/strong>. This test reveals the actual performance of the solar modules and sheds light on faults that would remain hidden using other methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>What is the I-V curve?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">It is the curve describing the electrical behavior of the solar panel, which shows how the <strong>output current (I)<\/strong> changes as a function of the <strong>output voltage (V)<\/strong>. During the measurement, the panel is connected to various loads, and its entire operating range is recorded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>open-circuit voltage (Voc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>short-circuit current (Isc)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maximum power point (MPP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the shape, breaks, and irregularities of the curve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This curve is like the \"heart rhythm curve\" of the solar panel: if it is healthy, it is immediately apparent; if there is a problem, that is too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Why is the measurement advantageous?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Revealing hidden faults that are invisible with other tests<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faults in solar modules often do not cause an immediate decrease in performance, or only a minimal one, so the problem is not revealed based on the inverter data. Evidentiary document for warranty claims<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manufacturers are increasingly strict when assessing warranty claims.
